Over the Rainbow’s founder Joel Carman did a recent interview in the Toronto Star regarding the “distressed denim” trend that is hot for Spring/Summer 2016. In the article, Joel was quoted:

““Three or four years ago, when we first started to see the destroyed look, I thought, this is going to be over soon,” says Joel Carman, a denim guru who has seen it all, since founding Toronto’s venerable jean emporium Over the Rainbow, back in 1975. “But this season, they are stronger than ever, and in every style, from a skinny silhouette that’s slightly distressed to a dropped crotch, heavily burned-out boyfriend worn low on the hips.”
