Meet Bayleigh Pelham - the winner of Big Brother Canada Season 12. A clever and crafty firecracker, Bayleigh played a great game, creating strong bonds and alliances. She went in with big plans and an even bigger personality and it majorly paid off.

We spent the day with Bayleigh and got to hear about her amazing Big Brother Canada Season 12 win, her life now, and all about her personal style.

 

 

 

Congratulations on winning Season 12 of Big Brother Canada! Can you describe how that felt?

Bayleigh: Winning Big Brother Canada was absolutely surreal. It’s the kind of experience you dream about but never expect to actually live through. I felt so proud, not just for myself but for the people who supported me every step of the way. It was a mix of disbelief, gratitude, and excitement all at once!

 

 

What are the main qualities you have that you feel helped you win?

Bayleigh: Definitely adaptability and emotional intelligence. Big Brother is all about building relationships and navigating unpredictable situations. I stayed true to myself while also learning to play off the dynamics in the house. Patience and resilience were key, especially during the tough moments.

The wardrobe on the show is amazing! What was your favourite look?

Bayleigh: Oh, I loved the finale dress! It was sleek and powerful—exactly how I wanted to feel stepping into such a pivotal moment. That look will forever hold a special place in my heart.

What are the biggest life changes you’ve experienced since you won? What have you been up to since the finale?

Bayleigh: Life has definitely been a whirlwind! The biggest change is having a platform where I can connect with so many people, whether it’s through social media or events. Since the finale, I’ve been focusing on putting my energy into things I believe in and that bring me joy.  I love collaborating with brands that have a cause, such as OTR, working on my fitness career, going after my dreams in the acting/tv world, and just enjoying this new chapter and spending a little extra quality time with my loved ones. 

You’re originally from Halifax, but we heard you live in Toronto now. What inspired you to move here?

Bayleigh: Toronto offers so many opportunities, especially in entertainment and media, which is where I want to grow. I also love the energy of the city—it’s diverse, vibrant, and full of ambition. It felt like the perfect place to challenge myself and take my career to the next level.

What have you noticed is different about the Fashion here compared to Nova Scotia and how has your personal style changed since moving here? 

Bayleigh: Toronto fashion is so bold and experimental compared to the laid-back vibe of Nova Scotia. People aren’t afraid to stand out here and I feel Toronto gives you that freedom to take risks, which has definitely influenced me. I’ve leaned more into statement pieces and mixing textures. I’m always trying to change it up!

 

 

What is your favourite fit of jeans?

Bayleigh: I’m obsessed with high-rise straight-leg jeans. They’re timeless and versatile—you can dress them up or down, and they’re so flattering.

 

 

 

And what fashion item can you not live without?

Bayleigh: A great leather jacket. It’s a staple that instantly elevates any outfit and works in any season.
