EVENT RECAP | National Denim Day May 15th
This past Tuesday, Over the Rainbow joined CURE Foundation along with other retailers to celebrate National Denim Day.
This was our first year participating and being a destination store in Toronto for premium denim, we definitely wanted to help raise awareness and support research for breast cancer. Therefore, during National Denim Day for every pair of jeans sold in store, Over the Rainbow will donate $5 to the CURE Foundation. The weather was definitely on our side, as it brought a bit more traffic than usual. In the end, we sold 25 pairs of jeans, which is a great achievement for a one day only event. We thank each and every customer that came by that day and shopped on National Denim Day.
We also wanted to extend our donations beyond the store, and for one day as well, for every tweet/re-tweet on Twitter to @RainbowJeans416 and #OTRDenimDay, we would donate $1 on their behalf. We received over 30 tweets and mentions over the course of the day, and below are just some examples of those who helped donate with a click of a mouse. It is great to see such positivity and involvement even if they could not be at the store – Thank You!
