EVENT RECAP | OTR x Todd Snyder + Champion F/W 2013 Launch Party

The 19th of September marked an action-packed day here at Over the Rainbow. It was our first encounter with Todd Snyder and we couldn’t have been more pleased with how the day unfolded. Interviews started in the early afternoon and were conducted by media platforms and brand enthusiasts; Todd was eager to partake. His plane landed a few hours prior but he had a smile on his face the entire time. After meet and greets were finished Todd needed just a short break to check into his hotel and grab a bite. He was back at our store in no time and ready for what was to come. Our event officially began at 6:00 and people slowly started trickling in. As customers entered the store they were immediately drawn to the vintage Champion display assembled by Joshua Roter and Chantal Varela from the fashion blog, In Vintage We Trust.

As they made their way to the back of the store they witnessed a transition to the all new Champion Collection reinvented by Todd himself. The display definitely had that locker room feel. Sweatshirts, T’s and cardigans were strewn about wooden benches and folding chairs. Old lockers were filled with Champion gear and the ground was compiled of football helmets and old sneakers.

We received great feedback from the event and everyone loved what Todd had added to the classic sports apparel line. Drinks were flowing and not a bite of food remained when we closed the store for the night. Beer was provided by Steam Whistle and appetizers were catered by Jonathan Preskow.

We can’t thank everyone enough for coming and helping us celebrate the debut of this amazing line. A very special thanks to Todd Snyder for allowing this event to happen. You helped make this a successful night and we can’t express how much we love what you have done with the Champion Brand. You are always welcome back to Over the Rainbow and we hope you visit soon!
